The Learning to Save Process!
Mylos Rescue is an NGO formed with the intent of ending stray dog suffering situation in India. We have been rescuing dogs and feeding stray dogs and other animals since 2012 and our team continuously strives for the welfare of the injured, abandoned and sick animals.
Our Founder Lakshmi Swaminathan is recognized as one of the most compassionate animal activists who consistently works for rescuing, spaying, and treating dogs in despair and need of help since 2008. Mylos always works to promote respect and compassion for every stray dog and also to bring about awareness, compassion and change in the minds of people.

On 27th April 2021, when Lockdown was implemented across Bangalore, Mylos Rescue took upon the responsibility to feed 3,500+ stray animals every day and save them from starving and a painful death. Mylos Rescue successfully ran its Lockdown Feeding Initiative for 50 days along with 40+ honorable feeders across entire Bangalore with over Rs 10,000 in daily expenses to run the initiative. Mylos Rescue thanks for all the contributions from the community to make the initiative a resounding success.

Our Activities
Mylos rescue as a shelter cares for animals needing protection and safety. We attempt to find homes for homeless dogs, tries to reunite lost pets with their owners, provides medical help for all injured, sick and abandoned dogs, makes an online space for food requests and blood donations for dogs in critical needs.
Feeding Initiatives
Mylos rescue started its feeding initiatives in Bangalore in 2008 with only around 10 dogs and now it has extended over 250 dogs per day and covering a distance of 4 kms. Kindly support our feeding initiatives.
Rescue Operations
Mylos rescue volunteers work 24x7 to help save animals who are victims of abuse , illegal animal cruelty and any disaster. Our team assists in the on-going care of dogs and other animals who have been rescued from harm.
